About FixConnecting
At the moment, FixConnecting doesn’t have a large audience, a big office, or a team of professional writers. But I believe that’s all ahead. Who am I? My name is Serhii Vyshnevskyi. I’m the founder and author of FixConnecting. I’d like to tell you a little bit about the site, its purpose, about myself, how I write my guides, and how I help people by answering their questions in the comments.
About the Site
FixConnecting was born out of my experience working with networking equipment (over 10 years), my ability to write clear, step-by-step guides, and some basic skills in building websites. And of course, a strong desire to create something genuinely useful.
The main goal of FixConnecting is to help you set up your router, Wi-Fi extender, Wi-Fi adapter, or other network devices on your own. To solve a wide range of issues related to internet connectivity and network setup. To help you connect Bluetooth devices like headphones, speakers, smart home gadgets, and more. To tweak features in Windows or macOS, fix something on Android or iPhone. All to save you time and money.
I have a clear vision of what a truly helpful website should be. I follow three core principles when creating and developing FixConnecting:
- Every guide must be based on personal experience. Fortunately, I have plenty of it. This is crucial to me. I only write about things I’ve encountered myself. I test everything on my own devices, take photos and screenshots, and only then do I write the guide, format it, double-check it, and publish it.
- Helping visitors is a top priority. It’s important for people to be able to ask questions, clarify something, or share their thoughts. That’s why every article has a comment section, and there’s also a dedicated Questions and Answers page where anyone can ask me a question and get free support.
- A user-friendly and visually appealing design for the site and each page. I hope I was able to achieve that.
These principles are based on my personal experience, and I followed them when creating FixConnecting.

My name is Serhii. I’m 33 years old. I work with networking equipment and share my experience through step-by-step guides on FixConnecting. You can read more about me on the Author page.
Behind the Scenes: How I Create My Guides
In this section, I’d like to share how I create my guides and what I use to make them.
These are the tools I use to create my guides:
- Laptop Dell XPS 15 9500 (Intel Core i5-10300H, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB SSD).
- Monitor LG Full HD (a bit outdated, but I still prefer using it most of the time).
- Keyboard Logitech MX Keys S.
- Mouse Logitech MX Master 3.
- An inexpensive Lenovo, used for testing settings and fixes on Windows that can’t be done in a virtual machine.
- Camera Nikon D3300 for photos.
Naturally, I also use a wide variety of network devices, which I write about. This includes routers, mesh Wi-Fi systems, extenders, Wi-Fi adapters, etc. I buy most of these devices specifically to test them and create detailed guides with real photos and screenshots. The devices you see in the photo are the ones I currently use (the list changes often).
And this is me:)
Since I also write about more than just networking equipment, I use other devices like headphones, Bluetooth speakers, TVs, and phones to create simple and helpful tutorials. These aren’t always my own devices — sometimes they belong to friends or family. I test everything myself, take screenshots and photos, and turn that into a guide.
The most important thing for me is hands-on experience. I need to be familiar with what I’m writing about. That’s the only way to create truly helpful content.
